Exit point-- the point at which the car has come through the corner and has reached its widest point on the track after the apex and has completely straightened out. The car pictured below has completed the turn partially seen to the right in the background, and has reached the widest point on the track after the apex. Not every turn will require the car to go to the edge of the track on the exit, especially where a series of turns are close together. However the "exit point" is still the point at which the car reaches the widest point it travels. (See also the Cornering technical article in Driving Techniques).
