Balaclava-- a head covering with minimal openings for the face similar in design as a snow skier's face mask. The covering is worn under the helmet, covers the whole head and neack, and has an extended "skirt" so the driver's suit will overlap the cloth around the neck opening. The balaclava is made of fire resistant cloth, and intended to provide additional fire protection for the neack, head, and face. Along with the driver's suit, the balaclava is a required safety item for anyone driving in an event for position.
