Blocking-- in racing, blocking is the intentional positioning of your car in front of another specifically to prevent it from passing. If your car is faster, then is no need to not be driving on the optimum racing line. When the car behind you is faster, and you resort to driving non-optimum lines, or deliberately swerving your car to block a passer's path, this is illegal. You are generally allowed one move to position your car on a non-optimum driving line to protect your position, but repeatedly or continually doing this will be seen as blocking for which you'll get black flagged.
