Brake Bias-- this is the ratio of hydraulic force applied to the front and rear brakes. It is set to ensure that the front brakes will lock up slightly before the rear brakes will during hard braking. This is done because the car is easier to control if the front wheels lock up first. If the rear wheels lock up first, the car becomes very sensitive to steering input and road surface imperfections, and will spin easily.
